Consultations at Kreativ Kultur Berlin

The Creative Industries Consultation offers free advice and information on all aspects of self-employment, entrepreneurship and financing, from start-up projects to existing creative businesses. We can accompany you to the consultation appointment and guide you through the process. 
The Cultural Funding Consultation provides free advice on how to secure funding for cultural projects, search for grants and residency programs, and tips on how to apply.

Music Pool Berlin

Music Pool Berlin is the central place to go for musicians and people working in the music business, living and working in Berlin. The consultations and training offered by expert professionals and key players in the music scene will supply musicians with information and experience, professional development, as well as network opportunities direct from within the scene. The goal is to help each musician with tools and information to be better equipped to make a living in the current music business.

Touring artists

Touring artists offers information and advice for artists and culture professionals in Germany with international projects, artists and culture professionals living abroad with temporary work in Germany and specifically, artists from non-EU countries who have recently relocated to Berlin. Touring Artists informs and advises on administrative issues such as visa and residence, contracts and work status, taxes, social insurance, transport and customs, insurances, authtor`rights and mobility funding.
Touring artists organises a MONTHLY MEET-UP which is a networking meeting for transnational artists that are new in Berlin. 

 

ZAV Placement Service – Performing Arts

The ZAV focuses on promoting young artists in the areas of stage, TV, film, entertainment, music and advertisement. The ZAV has an array of professional, hand-picked performing artists.

Each year the ZAV organizes events to present artists from the areas of opera, musical, drama, dance or artistry – to potential future employers, accompanying them into their very first bookings.

Berlin Music Commission

 (BMC) is the centre for the Berlin music economy. The format „Sprechstunde Musikwirtschaft (Music Business Consulting) is a coaching and consulting program and offers interested BMC members and further music companies in Berlin goal oriented support regarding current questions. The focus is on topics such as strategy development for companies, cooperation counseling, promotion consulting, financial management, copyright, process optimization and management.

As part of the project “Information about the Music Job Market in Berlin” the BMC has arranged for a contingent of seats for the event. Please contact us if you are interested in participating:

Ver.di

Ver.di combines experience and expertise in industries and professions in the field of music. As a union, it fights for the interests of employees and freelancers. In cooperation with the Landesmusikrat Berlin, ver.di expands its existing advisory services, especially in the areas of entrepreneurship, copyright and social counseling. Seminars are free of charge for musicians who are mediated through this project. The State Music Council offers translation services and accompanies musicians in the target group to counseling sessions.The website is available in German only.

ARTIST TRAINING
Universität der Künste

Universität der Künste, Berlin Career College: Artist Training

The project ARTIST TRAINING is a qualification program offered by the UdK Berlin Career College aimed at the qualification, consulting, and networking of artists in exile. Since 2016, 47 modules have provided information and contacts for about 700 participants from the following fields: music, fine arts, performing arts, film and at the beginning also culture and media. Otherwise there are networking events and consulting sessions. 2020 – 2021 three partners (Babelsberg, Hamburg, Hannover) offered videos, workshops, excursions and consulting sessions about the basics of freelancing. The project’s goals are networking within the cultural and creative industries by getting to know key figures in the institutions, self-establishment on the labor market and the respective strategic positioning in regard to artistic orientation. Additionally, there is a weekly consulting session, which was introduced in 2019.

SKILLFRIED

SKILLFRIED is a free of charge platform where you can find professional cooperation partners and present completed projects in your portfolio.

SKILLFRIED focuses on the concise presentation of completed music projects. Participating actors (artists, freelancers, companies, agencies, etc.) can be identified by their project roles. The linked actors can also summarize their references / expertise in the form of profiles in which their roles are referenced by the projects in which they were involved.

SKILLFRIED is first and foremost what professional project makers make of it: a portfolio portal where you discover exciting music projects and good people.

Clubcommission/ Clubsonsult

Club Consult is a project initiated by the Clubcommission Berlin – the association of Berlin’s club, party and event organisers.

The project provides consultancy for the management of clubs and event locations in Berlin with a focus on sustainability. It brings together experts from the club sector with experts from technical sectors such as planners, architects, technical inspection companies, legal and business consultancies.

The consultation is free of charge for Clubcommission members.

OrwoHaus

Bandbüro Berlin is a project established by the ORWOhaus e.V., funded by Musicboard Berlin. The Bandbüro is supporting young talented bands and helps to connect and promote the network between them and other participants in the field of music and considers itself a central point-of-contact for who wants to support young bands personally, individually and target-oriented.

Creative Service Center WeTeK Berlin gGmbH

Counselling for female* artists, freelancers and creative entrepreneurs of Berlin
The Creative Service Center offers consultation and coaching free of charge for female* artists and creative freelancers & entrepreneurs from Berlin. They also offer a wide range of workshops on business planning, funding possibilities, finances and taxes, as well as on topics like marketing, public speaking, team building, conflict resolution & communication, stress management & mindfulness and much more.
They help you developing, promoting and implementing your projects, businesses and careers. They support you on your way to successfully working on your goals and dreams.

Berlin Mondiale

Berlin Mondiale is a Berlin-wide network of cultural practitioners and artists of urban practice in the context of migration, asylum and exile. It unites children, young people and young adults with immigrant background and cultural institutions in Berlin, thus bringing together the arts and cultures of the world. Among the participating cultural institutions are large, state-subsidized institutions as well as production sites of the independent scene. They work in the fields of fine arts, film, literature, museum, music, dance and spoken theater / performance.
Berlin Mondiale is committed to paving the way for employment in the field of art and culture for people with immigrant background and to opening up creative spaces. As a comprehensive advisory and competence center, Berlin Mondiale offers support where it becomes necessary – often in the form of accompanying projects through advice, translation or supervision of specific topics. For more information, visit the Berlin Mondiale website
